The 10 Days Uganda Rwanda Primate & wildlife safari starts from entebbe at 5;30am since on the first day you have chimpanzee tracking so the traveler is expected to either arrive very early morning or Spend an overnight in either Kampala or Entebbe. it comes with free Airport pick up before the start of the safari and accommodation on B/B.
Day1: Transfer to Kibale Forest national Park & Do Afternoon Chimpanzee Tracking
Upon wake u very early morning, you transfer from Entebbe hotel or kampala hotel with the experienced tour guide of Congo gorilla Safaris and start to transfer from Kampala to Kibale forest national park arriving at 11:00am and go for lunch at primate Lodge in the jungle of kibale forest national park. After head to the park headquarter for briefying about the Chimpanzee tracking rules and regulations, then after enter into the jungle to search for the chimpanzees in the wilderness of Kibale forest national park. After the trekking return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at primate Lodge or Kibale forest camp.Meals on Full board.
Day 2: Nature walk & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After morning breakfast at the lodge , you will go for nature walk in Bigodi swamp. Bigodi swamp walk and birds seeing primates mostly monkeys, birds and butterflies. The guides are a wealth of knowledge is here and are so patient with visitors. The wetland is a birder’s paradise with about 138 species and is best known for being home to the Great Blue Turaco . This is a 2½ – 3 hour walk and is a must for bird lovers. The walk is almost as popular as the Kibale Forest Walk. You will need good walking shoes since part of the walk is sometimes muddy and after you will return to the lodge and check out , then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park passing through the crater Lakes within the region viewing the various landscapes and arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park. Check in at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Bush lodge . Meals Full board.
Day3: Game Drive & Boat Cruise.
Early morning game drive always start at 6.30am , an awesome experience to spot the animals in natural habitats to include elephants, solitary cape buffaloes, hyenas, lions, leopards, antelopes, warthogs and beautiful birds. This park has spectacular sceneries including Crater Lakes and rolling savannah plains overlooking the snow capped Rwenzori Mountain ranges. You will return to your lodge for breakfast and relax till lunch. In the afternoon you will take a relaxing 2 hour boat cruise on Kazinga channel. This is a huge opportunity to spot more animals as they come to cool off down the stream. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos.
This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari lodge or Bush lodge.
Day4: Game drive in ishaha Sectors & Transfer Bwindi Impenetrable forest national Park
You will wake up early for a morning game drive in the Ishasha sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park to see Lions, Elephants, Topis, Leopards, Bush bucks, Cape Buffaloes, Defassa Water bucks, Giant Forest Hogs, Uganda Kobs, among others. You will have lunch at Savannah hotel and after drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. En-route you will see a great country-side, bamboo forest and have great views of the scenic landscape characteristic of the western rift valley. Depending on the sector where your gorilla permits are secured , you will check in at the lodge. Dinner and overnight Gorilla Mist Lodge, or Bakiga Lodge.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park & Transfer to lake bunyonyi.
Volcanoes National Park Mountain Gorilla
After Early morning breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarter for briefying about the gorilla trekking rules and regulations when your in the wilderness of viewing ( Watching gorillas). Gorilla trekking is an enjoyable experience though demanding as we go through steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain drizzles before encountering any Gorilla closely so check on the packing list for gorilla trekking . The thrill of your encounter will erase the difficulties of the potentially strenuous trek.
Upon the encounter you will spend a maximum of one hour with the Gorillas, taking photos and marveling at these elusive creatures feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display. After trekking you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi the deepest lake in Uganda . Dinner and overnight Arcadia Cottages.
Day6: Boat cruise and visit the local communities (Pygmies ).
Have an early breakfast, and then visit the Abaheesi and Batwa communities, interact with them; it is surely a good time spent here. Have lunch at the resort and in the evening have a boat cruise on the lake where you will get chance to view various birds, beautiful landscape including some of the 29 islands. If you don’t go for a boat cruise you could opt for cycling around the area.
Day7:Transfer to Volcanoes national Park.
After Morning breakfast, you will jump into the safari jeep and drive to volcanoes national park in northern province of rwanda. It includes Bordering cross from Uganda to rwanda via Cyanika Border and your advised to have paid & applied for the East African Tourists Visa. Upon crossing you will drive to Volcanoes national park where you will relax that afternoon awaiting for the Golden monkey tracking and exploring the wilderness of Rwanda’s volcanoes national park the next day . Dinner and overnight at Five Volcanoes Lodge. Meals on Full board.
Day8: Golden monkey in Volcanoes National Park
You will wake up early morning and drive straight to the park headquarters for briefying about the rules and regulations that need to be followed when in volcanoes national park during the golden monkey tracking & other primates in the wilderness of Volcanoes national Park . this safari activity is likely to take 4-5 hours in the jungle of volcanoes with the experienced Ranger guides of Rwanda Development board. Dinner and overnight as Above.
Day9: Dian fossey visit & Community Walk.
On this lovely day , you will wake up in a relaxed mood ready to hike to the Dian fossey, you will go for the dian fossey hike which will reward you with the chance of appreciating his conservation projects and effors towards the Mountain gorillas with in the Virunga Mountains . ( Shared between Uganda, Rwanda and Democratic public of congo) Return to the Lodge for lunch and in the evening go for the community entertainment, Dinner and overnight as Above .
Day10:Transfer to Kigali ( City tour & Genocide memorial)
After morning breakfast, you will set off from the lovely Volcanoes national park and drive to kigali, the capital city of Rwanda where you will have your lunch and after lunch go for the City tour and explore the Genocide memorials . After drop off at Kigali International Airport for the flight back home .
