Day 1: Transfer from Goma in D.R. Congo
Upon Arrival at Goma International airport, you will be welcomed by the tour guide of Primate Safari Experiences and transfer to Virunga National Park for your dinner and overnight stay at Bukima Tented camp/ Mikeno Lodge. Travelers are advised to book with Ethiopian Airways that offers flights to democratic republic of congo and they should notify us in advance so that we prepare the visa documents to enable us drop them at the Airport. The Flights comes once every week.
Day 2: Congo Mountain Gorilla Trekking

You will have an early breakfast, yet those clients that will have spent their overnight in Mikeno lodge will have to drive for 1 hour to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking Rules and later proceed to the jungle forest to search for the Most Endangered Species of Mountain Gorillas with park rangers, this gorilla trekking safari activity in congo can take a minimum of 1 hour and max of 5 hours and once found you will stay with the gorillas for one hour watching them feed, play and socializing with their young ones. After return to the park headquarter and transfer to the hotel either Mikeno Lodge or Kibumba Tented Camp for Dinner and Overnight.
Day 3: Climb Nyiragongo Volcano in Virunga National Park.

After an early morning breakfast, head to the park headquarters for briefing with park rangers as the tour guide will be registering your nyiragongo permits in virunga foundation offices and sorting the porters for you incase you need one, start Hiking Nyiragongo volcano (climb takes about 4 to 5 hours). Hike through an impressive rain forest, the climb continues on the lava eruption fissure, reach the summit. ( Climbers of Nyiragongo volcano have various stopping points for breaks in the wilderness of Virunga national Park. Have the whole evening to enjoy the view from the crater and watch the lava inside. Dinner and Overnight in Nyiragongo Summit shelter at the crater.

Day 4: Descend Nyiragongo Volcano .
After Morning Breakfast at the summit which is always served at 5:00am and watch the world’s largest lava lake for the last time and at 6:00am in the morning you will start to descend the volcano , as your sloping you will pass on the climbers for that day as they all use the same route for hiking and descending unlike the Rwenzori Mountain Climbing tours where the routes differ.
Upon arrival at the base of Nyiragongo , you will be transferred back to your hotel in virunga Accommodation. ( Mikeno, Bukima tented or Kibumba Tented Camp) In the evening hours you will take a guided community walk at an extra Pay of 30$$$ per person , exploring the local communities of congo.

Day 5 – 6 Day: Transfer to Epulu.
Drive to Epulu via Beni Road – Overnight at Hotel Beni. Epulu is home to many okapis. Found only in the Congo, the okapi (Okapia johnstoni) is a shy and reclusive forest dweller and is the only living relative of the giraffe. It has an unusual coloration and distinctive markings, including stripes resembling a zebra, provide camouflage in the dense rainforest and protect it from many predators.
Day 7: Visit Okapi in Okapi Wildlife Reserve

After lunch we begin trekking in the tropical forest We will be permitted to follow such a group into the Jungle forest and where, possible, take our tents and setting up our camp near to their bands. Day 8: Return to Entebbe Airport.
Make a return journey back to Entebbe airport via Beni and Butembo, then Queen Elizabeth National Park. Stop to visit Semuliki River (home of Hippos, Crocodiles and so many bird species.
